New Listing in Kuala Lumpur. Vins D’Orrance Syrah.
BSC’s latest swanky food hall opened just last Thurs but not with as much fanfare in comparison to Hutong in Lot 10.
Pretty understandable I guess, since the concept ain’t entirely the same. Modelled after the food halls of Harrods or Selfridges, O Gourmet, BSC stocks a range of gourmet and unusual fine food items, imported mostly from Britain, Italy & Spain, including specialty wines.
Indeed, with the interesting & uncommon fine food available here, all one needs is a very deep pocket.
However, should you expect O Gourmet to be alike a food court, then prepare to be re-educated.
There is no dining space available; & O Gourmet features stalls after stalls of food items, both uncooked and cooked for take-away only |

Quel plaisir de retrouver Sabrina et Christophe Durand en France,
vignerons au Cap en Afrique du Sud, ils ont présenté entre amis
les 3 derniers millésimes de leur production à notre président ASP, Jean Luc Jamrozik:
Chenin Blanc Kama 2009 , Chardonnay cuvée Anaïs 2009, Syrah d'Orrance 2008.

Christophe Durand organise également une compétition annuelle des meileurs vins du Cap,

Voici mes notes de dégustations:
Chenin Blanc Kama 09,
belle couleur jaune paille brillante, nez fin d'agrumes et de pêche blanche, fraîcheur et minéralité,
bouche généreuse qui confirme le nez, l'élévage donne quelques notes vanillées, mais ne domine pas le fruit,
équilibre et élégance, finale épicée, beau chenin blanc d'Afrique du Sud
Chardonnay Cuvée Anais 09,
belle couleur jaune paille brillante, nez fermé de citron vert, d'agrûmes et de vanille,
bouche ample, fraîche aux notes toastées et de grillé, fruits exotiques, litchi, finale d'épices douces,
un vin puissant qui doît s'assouplir avec le temps, beau potentiel de garde.
Syrah d'Orrance 08,
Belle couleur rubis foncée, brillance..
Nez franc de noyau de cerise et de fruits rouges tendres, notes mentholées,
Bouche Fraîche, tout en dentelles "veloutée" , un Cotes Rôtie, un Crozes Hermitage "Guiraude"
et bien non, une Syrah du Cap très élégante, finale poivrée!

This is Christophe’s first time to Chicago and Chicago is one of his biggest markets. Let’s show the rest of Chicago the quality of Vins d’Orrance wines and for that fact South Africa!!! His Chardonnay...The White Burgundy of South Africa! And let’s not forget the Syrah!!!!! Not only is Christophe’s wines great but he is hot!!(that’s for us girls) He is from France so any French accounts that have a wine list that have “wines from the world” are a “must see appointment”.
